This term, our students have been reflecting on big questions:
- What do I want to do when I’m older?
- Where do I want to go to university?
- What GCSEs should I study to help me achieve my goals?
- Should I pursue a BTEC pathway or the IB Diploma Programme in Senior School?
These are not easy questions, but it’s not about having all the answers now - it’s about being brave enough to ask them.
As teachers, we ask ourselves important questions too:
- Am I meeting the needs of all my students?
- How can I grow and improve as a practitioner?
Together, these reflections help us create an environment where curiosity thrives and everyone is encouraged to grow. Through initiatives like our IGCSE and BTEC Level 2 Options Evening, Senior School Pathway Talks, and personalised guidance, we ensure students feel supported as they make these crucial decisions.
To our parents, your role is vital. Encouraging your children to ask these big questions and supporting their exploration helps shape their future in profound ways.
To our students, embrace the journey. You don’t need to have all the answers now, but by asking the right questions, you are already taking the first steps toward a bright future.
Questions -big and small- are the heart of discovery. Keep asking, stay curious, and remember: there are no silly questions.
Warm regards,
Aine McGlue
